It was a normal day. I had just come back from voting. The family was having a pretty good time running around the house. I had been home only for a few minutes when the sirens started. The wind started to pick up. The sky turned a weird greenish color when all the sudden it had a weird type lightning hit. Most of the kids were already in the bathroom area. My son Jero and I were outside watching the storm clouds form. When the lightning did its weird thing, we watched it form from the ground up a funnel cloud. This was the real deal. Jero screams its a tornado daddy…oh my Gosh. Read More »

Mark 1:14 Jesus went into Galilee and proclaimed the good news of God the time has come he said the Kingdom of God is near; Repent and believe the good news.
The word repent is a word i have heard alot since coming to church. I always thought it meant to turn away from what you are doing. However the word in Mark 1:14 that says repent is a greek word meta noia …meta which means change and noia which means mind. It makes sense in the story of the prodigal son now since in Luke 15:17 it says “When he came to his senses, he said, how many of my fathers hired men have food to spare and here i am starving to death.” Read More »

The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy it says in John 10:10 How true how true so many times the thief robs us of our joy, peace and happiness. The enemy sneaks in to devour our relationships, our families, our churches. In many cases our own issues cause many of these problems because its hard to distinquish between the two…the enemy or our own desires and wishes. One key in determining the difference is based on being a servant and being a king. A king wants to be served a servant wants only to serve. Read More »

The story of David’s mighty men captured my attentions..i pondered on them for days and it has kept me awake this evening. David was thirsty and in battle..his men found out he was thirsty so they risked their lives to cross enemy lines to get David some water. When they return to camp all excited about giving David a drink David. It touches David deeply but he in turn offers it to the Lord as a sacrificial offering and dumps it out on the ground..you say what a waste. Wow the place must have erupted in silence. Folks were amazed by what David had just done. These men risked their lives to get that water even bloodshed to get this water…and David just pours it out.. Read More »
